02.11.11 | News

In October 2011, the European Institute in partnership with Europlus Doboj - Center for Promotion of European Values from Bosnia and Herzegovina launched the project "EU at School" funded by the EU Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The project purpose is to raise the awareness of pupils (15-18 years of age) in secondary schools in rural areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the European Union in general and the enlargement process in particular, the way the latter affects their daily lives. The project also aims to provoke multi-stakeholder discussion over the state of education in BiH from the point of view of future EU membership.

The key project activities comprise info sessions at ten schools throughout the Republic of Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, development of interactive quizzes and competitions, educational materials targeted at school children in the final grades of secondary education, an animated presentation Children for Europe, and also a public discussion on the current state of secondary education in BiH.

The project duration is 6 months and the European Integration Office in BiH will join as an associate partner in the key project activities.
